Prayer based on Matthew 25:44. Themes: Compassion, Service, Judgment
Dear Lord, please open our eyes to see those who are hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick, and in prison. Help us to have compassionate hearts and to reach out to those in need. May we never turn a blind eye to those who are suffering and may we always be willing to lend a helping hand. We pray that we may be your hands and feet in this world, bringing hope and love to those who need it most. Amen.
Verse: “Then they will also answer, saying, ‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’
Matthew 25:44
This is a Command. The verse is a reminder to help those in need, as failing to do so is failing to help Jesus himself.
