Prayer based on Matthew 25:10. Themes: Preparation, Judgment, Celebration.
Dear Lord,
As I come before you today, I claim the promise of your word that says, “While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.”
Lord, I pray that I may always be ready for your coming. Help me to be vigilant and watchful, so that I may not be caught off guard when you return. May I always be prepared to enter into your presence and partake in the wedding feast that you have prepared for us.
Lord, I thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life that you have given us through your son, Jesus Christ. May I always be found faithful and ready to meet you when you come.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
