Praying from 2 Peter 2:6 relating to Judgment, Condemnation, Example.

Dear Lord, we pray that you would help us to learn from the example of Sodom and Gomorrah. May we never live in an ungodly way, but instead seek to follow your will and live according to your commandments. We ask that you would protect us from destruction and guide us towards righteousness. Help us to turn away from sin and towards you, so that we may live a life that is pleasing to you. Amen.

Verse: and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,
2 Peter 2:6

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to take the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as an example of what will happen to those who live in an ungodly way.
