Dear Lord,

Thank you for reminding us that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Help us to remember that we should not seek titles or positions of authority, but instead focus on serving one another and following your teachings. May we always look to you as our ultimate teacher and guide, and may we treat each other with love and respect as members of your family.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi’, for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
Matthew 23:8

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to be called ‘Rabbi’ and acknowledges that Christ is the only teacher and all believers are brothers.
