Prayer based on Matthew 23:7. Themes: Hypocrisy, Humility, Authority

Dear Lord, help me to seek your approval above the praise of men. May I not be swayed by the salutations and titles that the world offers, but instead, may I find my identity and worth in you alone. Teach me to humbly serve others without seeking recognition or honor. May my heart be focused on pleasing you and following your will, rather than seeking the approval of others. Thank you for your grace and love that sustains me each day. Amen.

Verse: the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘ Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.
Matthew 23:7

This is a Command. The verse is warning against seeking titles and recognition from others, specifically in public places.
