Dear Lord, I come before you claiming the promise that you have given us in Matthew 23:38, “Behold, your house is left to you desolate.” I thank you for the assurance that even in the midst of desolation, you are with us. I pray that you will help me to trust in your promises and to have faith that you will never leave me nor forsake me. May I always remember that you are my refuge and strength, and that you will guide me through every trial and tribulation. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of eternal life with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
