Prayer based on Matthew 21:42. Themes: Rejection, Scripture, Marvelous.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for reminding us of the promise in your Scriptures that the stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. We claim this promise today and ask that you make us the cornerstone of your kingdom. Help us to be strong and steadfast in our faith, even when others may reject us. May we always trust in your plan for our lives and find comfort in the knowledge that you are with us every step of the way.
We pray that you will continue to work in our lives, molding us into the people you want us to be. May we be a shining example of your love and grace to those around us, and may we always give you the glory for all that we accomplish.
Thank you for this promise, Lord. It is truly marvelous in our eyes. We trust in your goodness and your faithfulness, and we know that you will never leave us or forsake us.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
Verse: Jesus said to them,“Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?
Matthew 21:42
This is a Promise. The verse is a reference to Jesus being the cornerstone, which was rejected by the builders but became the most important part of the building. The promise is that Jesus is the Lord’s chosen one and is marvelous in our eyes.
