Praying from Luke 20:17. Themes: Rejection, Redemption, Authority

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the promise that you have given us in your word. You have said that the stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone. Lord, I claim this promise for my life today.

Just as the stone that was rejected became the cornerstone, I pray that you will take the areas of my life that have been rejected and make them the foundation of my future. I pray that you will use my weaknesses and failures to build something beautiful and strong.

Lord, I trust in your plan for my life. I know that you have a purpose for me and that you will use all things for my good. Help me to have faith in your promises and to trust in your unfailing love.

Thank you for being the cornerstone of my life. I pray that I will always look to you as my foundation and that I will build my life upon your truth and grace.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But he looked at them and said,“Then what is this that is written,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone?’
Luke 20:17

This is a Promise. The verse is a reference to Psalm 118:22 and is a promise that the rejected stone (Jesus) will become the most important part of God’s plan.
