Prayer based on Matthew 21:37. Themes: Sonship, Respect, Authority

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for sending your son to us, even though we did not deserve it. Your love for us is beyond measure, and we are grateful for the promise that you have made to us.

As we go through life, we pray that we will always remember your promise that we will respect your son. Help us to honor him in all that we do, and to live our lives in a way that brings glory to your name.

We know that we are not perfect, and we will make mistakes along the way. But we trust in your grace and mercy, and we ask that you would guide us and strengthen us as we seek to follow your son.

Thank you for your love and your faithfulness. We claim your promise today, and we pray that you would continue to work in our lives and in the world around us.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement made by a character in a parable told by Jesus, and it promises that the people will respect the son of the character who sent him.
