Praying from Matthew 19:12. Themes: Sexuality, Self-Denial, Acceptance

Dear God, we thank you for the diversity of your creation and for the different paths that people take in life. We pray for those who were born eunuchs, that they may find acceptance and love in a world that often discriminates against them. We also pray for those who were made eunuchs by men, that they may find healing and restoration from the trauma they have experienced. And we pray for those who have chosen to become eunuchs for the sake of your Kingdom, that they may find strength and courage to follow your will. Help us to be a community that embraces all people, regardless of their gender or sexuality, and to love one another as you have loved us. Amen.

Verse: For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
Matthew 19:12

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to receive the concept of voluntary celibacy for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven.
