Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given. I pray that you would give me the understanding and wisdom to receive your word and apply it to my life. Help me to be receptive to your teachings and to have a heart that is open to your guidance. I trust in your promise that you will give me the ability to understand and receive your word, and I thank you for your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
