Dear Lord, please help me to have deep roots in you so that I may endure any trial or persecution that may come my way because of your word. May I not stumble or falter in my faith, but remain steadfast and strong in you. Grant me the strength and courage to stand firm in the face of adversity and to always trust in your unfailing love and grace. Amen.

Verse: yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
