Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise of your word. I pray that the seed of your word that has been sown in my heart will not fall on rocky places but will take root and grow deep. May I be like the one who hears your word and immediately receives it with joy. I pray that your word will bring forth fruit in my life and that I will be a witness to your love and grace. Thank you for your promise that your word will not return void but will accomplish what you desire. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately with joy receives it;

This is a Promise. The verse is describing a person who hears the word of God and receives it with joy, but because they have no root, they fall away when faced with persecution or difficulty.
