Dear Lord, help me to always keep my mind focused on the things of God and not the things of this world. When I am tempted to stray from your path, rebuke me as you did Peter and guide me back to your will. May I always follow you and seek your wisdom above all else. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said,“Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”
Mark 8:33

This is a Command: “Get behind me, Satan!” – Jesus is commanding Peter to stop thinking about the things of men and focus on the things of God.
