Prayer based on Mark 7:6. Themes: Hypocrisy, Worship, Heart

Dear Lord, as I come before you today, I pray that my heart may always be close to you. May my words and actions always be a true reflection of my love and devotion to you. Help me to avoid being a hypocrite, who honors you with my lips but my heart is far from you. May my heart always be filled with your love, grace, and mercy. I pray that you will guide me in all that I do, and that I may always seek to honor you in everything. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: He answered them,“Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,‘ This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:6

This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke to the hypocrites who honor God with their lips but not with their hearts. There is no promise given in this verse.
