Prayer based on Luke 9:61. Themes: Commitment, Priorities, Family
Dear Lord,
I want to follow you with all my heart, but sometimes I find myself holding back. I ask for your help in letting go of anything that is keeping me from fully committing to you.
Just as the man in the verse asked to say goodbye to those at his house, I too have attachments that I struggle to let go of. Please give me the strength and courage to say goodbye to anything that is hindering my relationship with you.
I pray that you would help me to prioritize my life in a way that puts you first. May my love for you be evident in all that I do, and may I never hesitate to follow you wherever you lead.
Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for always being patient with me. I trust in your guidance and ask for your continued presence in my life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.”
