Dear Lord, we pray for those who have heard your word but have allowed the cares, riches, and pleasures of life to choke their faith. Help them to prioritize their relationship with you above all else and to bear fruit that glorifies your name. May they be filled with your love and grace, and may their lives be a testimony of your goodness. We ask for your guidance and strength to overcome the distractions of this world and to remain steadfast in our faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader to not let the cares, riches, and pleasures of life choke out their faith and prevent them from bearing fruit.
