Prayer based on Luke 8:10. Themes: Mystery, Kingdom, Parables
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the promise that you have given to us, that we may know the mysteries of your Kingdom. We claim this promise today and ask that you would reveal to us the hidden truths of your Word.
We also thank you for the parables that you have given to us, which help us to understand your teachings in a deeper way. We pray that as we study your Word, you would open our eyes and ears to see and hear what you are saying to us.
May we never be like those who see but do not see, and hear but do not understand. Instead, may we be filled with your wisdom and understanding, so that we may live according to your will and bring glory to your name.
Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise that you will always be with us. We trust in you and your Word, and we pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
Verse: He said,“To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘ seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’
