Prayer based on Luke 6:24. Themes: Wealth, Warning, Consolation.
Dear Lord, I come before you humbly and acknowledge that I am richly blessed in many ways. But I also recognize that my wealth and possessions can sometimes distract me from seeking your kingdom and righteousness. I claim the promise that you have given to those who are poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Help me to be content with what I have and to use my resources to serve you and others. May my consolation come from knowing you and following your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: “But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.

This is a Promise. The verse is a warning to the rich that they have already received their consolation and will not receive any further reward.
