Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that your winnowing fan is in your hand and that you will thoroughly cleanse your threshing floor. I claim the promise that you will gather the wheat into your barn and burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Lord, I pray that you would help me to be like the wheat, pure and ready for your harvest. Please cleanse me of any impurities and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you. Thank you for your promise of salvation and for the hope that we have in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse describes the actions of Jesus in separating the righteous (wheat) from the unrighteous (chaff) and promising to gather the righteous into his kingdom while the unrighteous will face eternal punishment.
