Prayer based on Luke 3:12. Themes: Repentance, Salvation, Forgiveness.
Dear Lord, like the tax collectors who came to be baptized, I come before you seeking guidance and direction. As I ask, “Teacher, what must I do?” I pray that you would reveal to me the path that you have set before me. Help me to follow your will and to live a life that is pleasing to you. May I be obedient to your commands and may my actions reflect your love and grace. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness, and for the opportunity to come before you in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what must we do?”
Luke 3:12
This is a Command. The tax collectors are asking what they must do, indicating a desire to follow a command. The command is not explicitly stated in this verse, but it is implied that they must repent and turn away from their dishonest practices.
