Prayer based on Luke 2:15. Themes: Salvation, Revelation, Obedience.
Dear Lord, as we reflect on the story of the shepherds, we are reminded of their eagerness to witness the miracle of your birth. Just as they were filled with wonder and awe, we too long to experience your presence in our lives. Help us to be open to your guidance and to follow your lead, even when it takes us out of our comfort zone. May we be like the shepherds, willing to leave behind our daily routines and seek out the wonders of your love. We thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ, and for the hope and joy that he brings to our lives. Amen.
Verse: When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Luke 2:15
This is a Command – The shepherds are telling each other to go to Bethlehem and see what the Lord has made known to them.
