Praying from Luke 21:16. Themes: Persecution, Betrayal, Martyrdom.

Dear Lord,

I claim the promise that You have given us in Your Word. You have warned us that we will be handed over even by our own parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They may cause some of us to be put to death.

But I trust in You, Lord. I know that You are with us always, even in the midst of persecution and suffering. You have promised to never leave us nor forsake us.

So I pray that You would give me the strength and courage to stand firm in my faith, even when those closest to me turn against me. Help me to trust in Your love and protection, knowing that You are always with me.

Thank You for the promise that You have given us, Lord. I claim it today and trust in Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.
Luke 21:16

This is a Promise. The verse is a warning that some followers of Jesus will face persecution and even death, even at the hands of their own family and friends.
