Prayer based on Proverbs 19:7. Themes: Isolation, Rejection, Friendship

Father God, I come before you today claiming the promise that you will never leave nor forsake me. I know that in times of poverty and need, it can be easy for friends and even family to turn away. But I trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness. I pray that you would help me to pursue relationships that are rooted in your love and grace. May I never be so desperate for human companionship that I compromise my values or integrity. Instead, may I seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto me. Thank you for being my constant companion and friend, even when others may shun me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: All the relatives of the poor shun him; how much more do his friends avoid him! He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.
Proverbs 19:7

This is a Promise. The verse describes how even the poor person’s friends and relatives avoid him, despite his pleas for their attention.
