Prayer based on Luke 16:7. Themes: Forgiveness, Debt, Mercy.

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the verse that says, “Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’”

Lord, I pray that you would help me to be like the person who owed the debt in this verse. Help me to be honest about my debts and shortcomings, and to come to you with a humble heart.

I pray that you would also help me to trust in your provision and grace. Just as the person in the verse was given a discount on their debt, I pray that you would show me your mercy and kindness in my own life.

Thank you for your love and faithfulness, Lord. I pray that you would continue to guide me and lead me in all that I do.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
