Prayer based on Luke 13:30. Themes: Redemption, Humility, Justice.

Dear God,

I come before you today claiming the promise in your word that says, “Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.” I thank you for this promise, knowing that it is a reminder that your ways are not our ways and that you have a plan for each of us.

Lord, I confess that at times I have felt discouraged and forgotten, feeling like I am at the back of the line. But I trust in your promise that those who are last will be first. I pray that you would help me to persevere and trust in your timing, knowing that you have a purpose for my life.

I also pray for those who may be at the front of the line, who may be feeling prideful or self-sufficient. I pray that they would remember your promise that those who are first will be last and that they would humble themselves before you.

Thank you, Lord, for your promise and for your faithfulness. I trust in you and your plan for my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.”
Luke 13:30

This is a Promise. The verse suggests that those who are currently considered last in society will eventually become first, and vice versa.
