Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us in Luke 1:20. I believe that your words will be fulfilled in their proper time, and I trust in your perfect timing. Help me to have faith in your promises, even when they seem impossible or unlikely. May I always remember that you are faithful and true to your word. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the assurance that you will never leave or forsake us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Behold, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day that these things will happen, because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”

This is a Promise. The promise is that the person addressed in the verse will be unable to speak until the prophesied events come to pass.
