Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise in Luke 10:6 that says, “If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.” I pray that wherever I go, I will encounter sons and daughters of peace who will receive your peace through me. May your peace rest upon them and may they be blessed by your presence in their lives. And if I do not find such people, I pray that your peace will return to me, filling me with your love, joy, and peace. Thank you for your promise and for your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse promises that if a “son of peace” is present, the reader’s peace will rest on him, but if not, the peace will return to the reader.
