Prayer based on John 9:31. Themes: God’s sovereignty, obedience, prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today as a worshiper of God and one who desires to do your will. I know that you do not listen to sinners, but I claim the promise that you will listen to me because of my devotion to you.

Help me to continue to seek your will and to live a life that is pleasing to you. May my worship and obedience be a sweet fragrance to you, and may you hear my prayers and answer them according to your perfect will.

Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promise that you will listen to those who love and serve you. I trust in your goodness and mercy, and I pray all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Verse: We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
John 9:31

This is a Promise.

The verse promises that if someone is a worshiper of God and does His will, God will listen to them. It does not contain a command.
