Dear Lord, I claim the promise that the world cannot hate me because I testify about you and your goodness. I know that the world may hate me because I speak the truth about its evil works, but I trust in your protection and guidance. Help me to continue to boldly proclaim your truth and love, even in the face of opposition. Thank you for your promise that you will always be with me and that nothing can separate me from your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse promises that the world will hate Jesus because he testifies that its works are evil, but it cannot hate the reader.
