Dear Lord,

I claim the promise that I know you because I am from you and you have sent me. Help me to always remember that I am your child and that you have a purpose for my life. Guide me in all that I do and help me to be a reflection of your love and grace to those around me. Thank you for choosing me and for sending me out into the world to do your will. May I always be faithful to your calling and may your light shine through me. Amen.

John 7:29

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement made by Jesus about his relationship with God the Father. He is saying that he knows God because he is from him and was sent by him. There is no command or instruction given to the reader.
