Dear Lord,
As I come before you today, I am reminded of the words of Jesus when he said, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.” Lord, I pray that you would give me the same hunger and thirst for your will and your work. Help me to seek your will above all else and to be obedient to your call on my life. May I find my satisfaction and fulfillment in doing your will and accomplishing the work that you have set before me. Thank you for the example of Jesus and for the opportunity to serve you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to do the will of God and accomplish His work.
