Dear Lord Jesus, as I reflect on the moment when you received the vinegar and declared, “It is finished,” I claim the promise that you have completed the work of salvation on the cross. Thank you for giving up your spirit and offering yourself as the ultimate sacrifice for my sins. I trust in your finished work and receive the forgiveness and eternal life that you have made possible. Help me to live in the reality of this promise and to share it with others. In your precious name, Amen.
