Dear Lord, thank you for speaking to us in figures of speech and for revealing your truth to us through your word. We trust in your promise that the time is coming when you will no longer speak to us in figures of speech, but will tell us plainly about the Father. We claim this promise and eagerly await the day when we will fully understand your ways and your will for our lives. Help us to continue seeking you and your truth, and to trust in your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
