Prayer based on John 16:21. Themes: Birth, Sorrow, Joy
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the promise that even though a woman may experience sorrow during childbirth, the joy of a new life entering the world will overshadow any pain. Help me to remember this promise during times of struggle and pain, knowing that the joy that comes from your blessings will always outweigh any temporary discomfort. May I always trust in your plan and find comfort in your promises.

Verse: A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
John 16:21
This is a Promise. The verse promises that the pain of childbirth will be forgotten once the child is born and brings joy into the world.
