Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise of peace that you have left with me. I claim this promise today and ask that you fill my heart with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help me to not be troubled or fearful, but to trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness. Thank you for giving me a peace that is not of this world, but comes from you alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
John 14:27

This is a Promise.

Jesus promises to leave his peace with the reader, a peace that is different from what the world offers. He encourages the reader to not let their heart be troubled or fearful.
