Prayer based on John 13:10. Themes: Cleansing, Redemption, Betrayal.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your promise that those who have been bathed are completely clean and only need their feet washed. I claim this promise for myself today, knowing that through your sacrifice on the cross, I am made clean and pure.
I ask that you wash my feet, Lord, and cleanse me from any sin or impurity that may have crept into my life. Help me to walk in your ways and to follow your commands, knowing that I am completely clean in your sight.
Thank you for your love and grace, Lord. May I always remember the promise that you have given me and live my life in a way that honors you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
Verse: Jesus said to him,“Someone who has bathed only needs to have his feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”
John 13:10
This is a Promise.
The promise is that the person being addressed (presumably one of Jesus’ disciples) is already clean, but not all of the disciples are clean.
