Prayer based on John 11:50. Themes: Sacrifice, Redemption, Salvation.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that one man’s sacrifice can save an entire nation. Help me to always remember that your plan is perfect and that you have already provided the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation. May I never forget the great love and mercy you have shown us through the death and resurrection of your son, Jesus Christ. Help me to live a life that honors this sacrifice and to share this promise with others so that they too may experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: nor do you consider that it is advantageous for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”
John 11:50
This is a Promise. The verse is a statement made by the high priest Caiaphas, prophesying that it is better for one man (Jesus) to die for the people, rather than the whole nation perishing.
