Prayer based on John 11:39. Themes: Resurrection, Faith, Doubt.
Dear Lord Jesus,
As we come before you today, we are reminded of the story of Lazarus and how you raised him from the dead. We thank you for your power and your love that knows no bounds.
Lord, just as you commanded Martha to take away the stone that covered Lazarus’ tomb, we ask that you would remove any obstacles in our lives that are hindering us from experiencing your fullness. Help us to trust in your power and your timing, even when things seem impossible or hopeless.
We also ask for your comfort and strength for those who are experiencing the stench of death in their lives. May they find hope and healing in you, and may your resurrection power bring new life to every situation.
Thank you for your love and your grace, Lord. We pray all of this in your holy name.
Amen.
Verse: Jesus said,“Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”
