Dear Lord, we pray that you command the tomb of your son to be made secure until the third day. We ask for your protection against any deception or theft that may occur. May your divine power keep watch over the tomb and prevent any harm from coming to it. We trust in your plan and your timing, and we pray that your will be done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘ He is risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
Matthew 27:64
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to secure the tomb until the third day to prevent the disciples from stealing Jesus’ body and spreading false rumors of his resurrection.
