Lord, I claim the promise that many believed in you there. May my heart be open to your truth and may I believe in you with all my being. Help me to trust in your love and grace, and to share your message of salvation with those around me. May many come to believe in you through my testimony and may your name be glorified. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is simply stating that many people believed in Jesus in that particular location. There is no command or instruction given to the reader.
