Praying from Hebrews 2:17 relating to Incarnation, Atonement, Priesthood

Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have made to us through your word. You have promised that Jesus was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people. I claim this promise today and ask that you would help me to remember that Jesus understands my struggles and temptations because he was made like me. I pray that he would be my merciful and faithful high priest, interceding on my behalf before you. Thank you for the atonement that he has made for my sins, and I pray that I would live in the freedom and forgiveness that he has provided. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
