Prayer based on Acts 5:9. Themes: Judgment, Consequence, Temptation.
Dear Lord, help us to always be mindful of the consequences of our actions. May we never be tempted to test or tempt your Spirit. Give us the wisdom to discern right from wrong and the strength to resist temptation. May we always seek to honor and glorify you in all that we do. Amen.
Verse: But Peter asked her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”
Acts 5:9
This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke from Peter to a woman who had lied about the sale of her property. There is no promise given in this verse.
