Prayer based on Acts 4:34. Themes: Generosity, Community, Sacrifice.
Dear Lord, I claim the promise of your word that says “For neither was there among them any who lacked.” I pray that you would provide for all my needs according to your riches in glory. Help me to trust in you and not in my own possessions or abilities. If there is anything in my life that I need to let go of in order to follow you more closely, please reveal it to me and give me the courage to obey. May I be like those in the early church who sold their lands and houses and brought the proceeds to the apostles. May I be willing to give generously and sacrificially to those in need, knowing that you will provide for me in return. Thank you for your faithfulness and provision in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
