Praying from Matthew 18:25. Themes: Debt, Forgiveness, Consequences

Dear Lord, please help us to always be faithful in paying our debts and obligations. We pray that we will never find ourselves in a situation where we cannot pay what we owe. But if we do, we ask for your mercy and grace to be upon us. Please do not allow us to be sold or lose everything we have. Instead, guide us to find a way to make payment and to honor our commitments. We trust in your provision and know that you will always provide a way for us. Thank you for your love and care for us. Amen.

Verse: But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
Matthew 18:25

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to pay their debts or face consequences such as being sold along with their possessions.
