Dear Lord, we pray for protection and discernment against those who may arise from among us, speaking perverse things and seeking to draw away your disciples. Help us to recognize and resist their deceitful ways, and to remain steadfast in our faith and commitment to you. Grant us wisdom and discernment to discern truth from falsehood, and to follow only those who lead us closer to you. May we always be rooted in your word and guided by your Holy Spirit, so that we may not be swayed by the false teachings of others. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
