Dear Lord, please help me to be like the Bereans who were noble in receiving your word with readiness of mind. May I always examine the Scriptures daily to see whether the things I hear and believe are true. Give me a hunger and thirst for your truth, and may I never be satisfied with mere opinions or traditions. Help me to be discerning and wise, and to always seek your will and guidance in all things. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
