Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have counted me as one of your own and have given me a portion in your ministry. May I always be faithful to your calling and use the gifts and talents you have given me to serve you and others. Help me to be a light in this world and to share your love and grace with those around me. Thank you for choosing me and equipping me for your work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Acts 1:17

This is a Promise. The verse is describing how Judas was once a part of the ministry and received his portion, but ultimately betrayed Jesus. There is no command given to the reader.
