Praying from 2 Corinthians 6:16. Themes: Holiness, Idolatry, Relationship with God.

Dear God,

Thank you for making me a temple of the living God. I pray that I may always remember that I am your dwelling place and that you walk with me every step of the way.

Help me to turn away from idols and anything that distracts me from your presence. May my heart be pure and focused on you alone.

I claim the promise that you will dwell in me and walk with me. You are my God, and I am your beloved child. May I always live in the light of your love and grace.

Thank you for your faithfulness and for making me a part of your people. I trust in your goodness and love, now and always.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”
2 Corinthians 6:16

This is a Promise. The verse promises that God will dwell in and walk with the reader, and that they will be His people. It also implies that the reader should not have any agreement with idols.
