Praying from 2 Corinthians 5:4. Themes: Mortality, Life, Longing
Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heart that groans and is burdened by the struggles of this life. But I thank you for the promise that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. I claim this promise today and ask that you clothe me with your righteousness and fill me with your life-giving Spirit. Help me to desire your will above all else and to trust in your plan for my life. Thank you for the hope and assurance that I have in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
2 Corinthians 5:4
This is a Promise. The promise is that the mortal body will be swallowed up by life.
